I remember I was in a living room area, I was there, a person sitting next to me and and on the couch was my first love/best friend from years ago daeyson. I could feel the presence of an adult figure but I don't see them. Then randomly it cut to me looking at daeyson but we weren't in the living room anymore we were standing on the balcony of a house on stilts in the middle of a valley ( mountain on each side us in the middle). I felt as though I wasn't actually there I was like an observer watching daeyson. There was a big flood coming at us, he ran up the stairs to the second floor but there was no where else to go, the water got up to our knees and then I woke up.
Your dream is a tapestry of emotions, past relationships, and potential fears or anxieties manifesting through your subconscious mind. Here's a detailed interpretation of the elements you described:
Living Room Scene:
The living room is a common symbol for your personal space, comfort, and where intimate interactions happen. Seeing Daeyson, someone from your past who was both a first love and a best friend, suggests unfinished business or lingering feelings about that time in your life. This setting might represent a desire to revisit old memories or feelings you associate with that person.
Presence of an Adult Figure:
Feeling an unseen adult figure in your dream could symbolize guidance, authority, or a protective force in your life that you feel but don't necessarily see clearly. This might relate to someone you trust or look up to, possibly influencing the situation or how you're processing these feelings about Daeyson.
Shift to the Balcony on Stilts:
Transitioning from the living room to an unfamiliar setting like a house on stilts in a valley indicates a shift from familiar, comforting environments to more precarious or unstable situations. Houses on stilts can symbolize being on shaky ground or needing a different perspective on something. Standing on a balcony suggests observation and contemplation, indicating you might be reflecting on your past relationship with Daeyson from a distance or with a newfound perspective.
Observer Role:
Feeling like an observer rather than an active participant in the dream can signify a detachment from the situation, suggesting that these emotions or memories are not as present or impactful in your everyday life but are still part of your subconscious exploration.
Flood and Running Up the Stairs:
Floods often symbolize overwhelming emotions or situations that you feel are beyond your control. The idea of a flood coming at you and Daeyson, who then runs up the stairs, reinforces a sense of urgency and seeking refuge from these emotions or situations. The water reaching knee-height before waking up might suggest you feel like you're in a transitional phase with this issue—deep enough to notice but not yet overwhelming or resolved.
The combination of these symbols might indicate unresolved feelings or the need for closure regarding past relationships and experiences. You may be exploring how these elements have influenced your current life and relationships, and the subconscious is prompting you to acknowledge and address them with the wisdom you've gained over the years.
